Hidden Gates Blog Tour

GUEST POST:
Hello everyone! Before I get down to business, I wanted to thank my gracious blog host for having me here today! I’m really excited to be here! Virtual hugs all around!

Okay…so, I was asked to talk about what I think the hardest part of writing is. For me, it’s the actual writing part. What I mean by that is… I have so, so, so many ideas or stories always circling around in my brain. I have notes and pieces of paper and text messages to myself on my phone, all with future story ideas. If only I could transfer them straight from my brain into my laptop. The actual writing part sometimes seems to take forever. I can’t type fast enough to keep up with my brain, and when I try, I end up with an enormous amount of typos and sometimes words that aren’t even real words. *sigh And then on top of it, by the time I reach the end of a story, half the time I’m already bored and ready to move on to the next one. I have the attention span of a gnat.

Also another difficult part of writing for me is having to stop when I’m feeling particularly inspired. The real world has a tendency to get in the way of my imaginary ones. I mean, who has time to eat, shower etc. when the fate of my creations hang in the balance? I most certainly don’t. Thank goodness for my Hubby who makes sure that I’m fed and watered when I’m in a writing zombie state. Those are the times when my phone ends up in the freezer and the ice cream ends up plugged into my charger. Okay, well that’s never actually happened. The ice cream was just sitting by the charger, while my phone chilled out in the freezer. But I think you get the point. Lol

Bottom line, I actually hate to write. I love to have written. And I absolutely adore creating new and exciting worlds and stories. Damn…I wish I could afford a stenographer or something to take notes on my stories and then type them up for me. That would be so amazing! Oh well…that’s just another thing that has to live in my imagination.

Thanks again for having me! It was fun! More virtual hugs! They’re so much easier than hugging everyone in real life. :)
